Container loading calculator

Fill many containers at once, palletise your cargo, edit the plan by hand and produce step-by-step loading instructions.

Mixed container sets

Select the equipment you have from the space library and let Loader4D pick the best combination of containers. The choice is driven by used volume, payload and your own rules. Assign a cost per container type and the tool will pick the most cost-effective setup.

Prioritise the centre of gravity

Container stability can be improved by prioritising the centre of gravity (CoG) while loading. This option guarantees that the CoG stays within 10% of the centre of the container.

Flat racks and platforms

Do you have out-of-gauge cargo? Load overwidth and overheight items on flat racks, platforms and MAFIs while the centre of gravity is taken into account. You can define your own custom equipment with corner posts and walls — ideal for project cargo.

Open-top containers

Use open-top containers — or define your own — for cargo too tall for a standard dry van. If a unit has no open roof or opening walls, items that cannot pass through the given door size are never loaded into it.

Load with pallets

If your cargo is not palletised, pick a pallet type and palletise it first, then load onto containers, trailers — or even other pallets. Even out-of-gauge items can be placed on pallets with balanced overhang.

Breakbulk vessels

Design your own vessels by combining holds and tween decks into a single set. Heavy machinery or out-of-gauge cargo — the software plans all holds together.

Utilise your space better and plan faster

Loader4D's benefits show up from the very first use.

Save money

Fit more cargo into the same equipment: more volume per trip, fewer empty runs.

Save time

Thousands of pieces and multiple units — a load plan is usually ready in seconds.

Gain clarity

With 3D visualisation you and your stakeholders can see, edit and share the plan.

Save the environment

Moving more cargo with fewer vehicles means directly lower carbon emissions.

Create your plan today

Define your cargo, pick the equipment, hit Load. Review the result in 3D, edit it by hand and share it as a PDF.
